🖥️ Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigating cyberattack on computer network

Source: WBKO
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a cybersecurity incident that affected its computer network this week.
Officials say the issue was discovered recently and the department immediately began working with outside cybersecurity professionals to secure the system and determine exactly what happened. Authorities have not yet released details about how the attack occurred or whether any sensitive information was compromised.
While the investigation continues, the sheriff’s office says law enforcement operations are still ongoing, and staff are taking steps to monitor and protect the network while experts review the situation.
Cybersecurity incidents like this have become increasingly common across the country in recent years, with government agencies, hospitals, and school systems often targeted by hackers seeking access to sensitive data or system controls.
Local officials say their focus right now is on identifying the source of the attack, ensuring systems remain secure, and restoring any affected technology as quickly as possible.
For residents, the situation highlights how important cybersecurity has become — even at the local government level — as more public services rely on digital systems to operate.

❤️ New Businesses Coming:
Fifth Third Bank
We love spotlighting local businesses doing cool things or new businesses on there way to BG — this one is worth knowing about.
Fifth Third Bank — Coming to Nashville Rd

BG Daily News
Bowling Green officially welcomed a new financial institution this week as Fifth Third Bank cut the ribbon on its first location in the city.
Community leaders, chamber representatives, and local residents gathered along Nashville Road to celebrate the opening of the bank’s new financial center — a space that now occupies a building many longtime residents remember as a former Pizza Hut.
The opening marks the company’s first physical presence in Bowling Green and reflects the continued growth happening along the Nashville Road corridor.
Bank leaders say the new location is designed to serve both individuals and local businesses, offering traditional banking services along with lending support, financial planning, and business services.
For Bowling Green, the addition of another national bank is another sign of how quickly the city continues to evolve. As more neighborhoods, developments, and businesses move into the area, demand for financial services has followed.
City and chamber leaders at the ribbon-cutting also highlighted the role banks play in supporting small businesses and helping communities grow — from providing startup loans to financing homes and new commercial projects.
While the building itself may be familiar to longtime residents, the new Fifth Third location represents something new for Bowling Green: another major financial institution investing in the city’s future.

❤️ Community Spotlight: Volunteers Step Up to Help Count and Support BG’s Unhoused Neighbors

Source: BG Daily News
Last week, dozens of volunteers across Bowling Green spent a rainy evening doing something most people never see — helping conduct the community’s annual homelessness count across Warren County.
The effort, known as the Point-in-Time count, brings together local nonprofits, outreach workers, and volunteers who walk through different parts of the city to identify and interview people experiencing homelessness. Along the way, they also hand out coats, food, and resource bags to help those in need.
Organizations like HOTEL INC, BG Neighbors Aid Network, Goodwill’s outreach team, LifeSkills, and others worked together with around 20 volunteers searching parks, neighborhoods, and shelters to better understand the needs in the community. The information helps determine funding for housing and support programs locally.
While the work can be difficult — especially in bad weather — volunteers say the goal is simple: make sure the people who need help in Bowling Green are seen, counted, and connected with resources.
